Happy Good Friday everyone! I'm not really sure I can remember what Good Friday is all about, I'm not religious in the slightest so I just like to know; can we eat easter eggs yet or not? Yeh, it's all about the chocolate, soz Jesus. Anywho, I hope you all enjoy this long bank holiday weekend, lets eat chocolate until we vomit!

Last week I received an amazing goodie bag from the Debenhams Beauty press day and one of the gorgeous beauty products inside was this Cargo Lipstick (£13.00 2.8g) in 'Palm Beach'. The colour (swatched below) is amazing and just perfect for summer with it's pinky coral tone. The finish is neither matte or glossy but just a little something in between with a high pigment for a bold lip. The texture is creamy and lightweight making application a breeze! It didn't dry out my lips and left them feeling hydrated and plumped throu ghout the day. It's not my favourite shape of lipstick as I prefer the ends to be slightly pointed so you get into the nooks and crannies of your lips but applied with a lip brush it's perfect.
You might remember me mentioning last week that I went off to Wallis HQ to take part in a shoot for their latest offering from their much coveted W Collection (Available online now). I was asked to pick one item from the 'Crimson Collection' and style it in 3 different ways. I chose these amazing coral tailored shorts (Trousers and blazer also available) and I did a casual, a work-wear and a smart-casual look. And that's the great thing about this entire collection, it's all so versatile, the pieces are so easy to style as they just slot in with your existing wardrobe, they just provide a fresh summer wardrobe update. The real stand out pieces for me are the printed bomber jacket (I'm obsessing over bombers right now) and the white leather jacket (Which I'm clutching onto for dear life above) which is a massive trend for this season and an absolute must-have!

I've actually had this mascara since before Christmas and been meaning to review it for ages but just not got round to it. It's called Lights, Camera, Lashes (£17.76 7ml) and is a 4 in 1 mascara (Lengthening, curling, volumising and conditioning). I've been using this since I received it in a QVC press day goodie bag and I just love it! I was also given the Tarte eyelash curlers which I use everyday with the mascara. Firstly, the packaging...isn't it amazing! I'm all up for anything encased in snakeskin and this faux leather snake effect tube looks adorable in my make up bag, because lets face it, products have to look cute as well as doing a good job. The mascara wand is perfect, it's long and not complicated with fancy bristles, simple is the key here! I always find that I can literally sweep this through my lashes about 3 times and they are all evenly coated and my mascara is done with zero fuss! This will be down to the emollient wax which allows a smooth application with no clumping. If I'm off out for an event or just simply want a more dramatic eye then I'll add a second coat for super volumised lashes. ProVitamin B5 treats and thickens lashes, olive esters condition, treat, and protect lashes which might be why it's also so easy to remove. I just use some Micellar water and it disolves this kind to lashes formula quickly and easily without excessive rubbing. This mascara is dermatologist-tested and also contains mineral pigments known for their soothing and softening properties...soft lashes anyone...yay! If I were going to recommend just one mascara it would be this one!

I've been at it again with the nail art and today I've created some Celine inspired nails using a print from their SS14 collection. This was one of the easiest nail art designs I've done because it's not about being precise, it's about randomness (Huraah for a bit of randomness!). Although there are a few layers to this design it honestly doesn't take that long, only 15 minutes including a couple of mins drying time in between.
I just started with a base coat of white polish (Essie in Blanc) and then colour by colour I layered up the random brush strokes using a nail art brush from a set from Forever 21. I started with the Red Polish (Barry M 'Red') then went onto the Yellow (Claire's 'California Girl'), followed by the black (OPI 'Black Onyx') and finally the teal (LA Colors 'Sea Foam'). I finished with a layer of Seche Vite Super Fast top coat for super shine and a speedy finished look.
I hope everyone had a great weekend, and if you took part in the London Marathon I'm sure you're all in severe pain, but well done! I watched the marathon from the comfort of my sofa with a giant bar of chocolate and some Pringles, because that's how I roll.
We're kicking off this week with glorious weather (In London anyway) so today's outfit is a little surf inspired, not that I'll be surfing the Thames any time soon! Ewww, can you imagine? Anywho, I'm not feeling very organised right now so today I'll be planing out my week as I have some exciting events coming up.

On Thursday I attended the L'Oreal Miss Denim events to check out what new goodies they have coming out. First of which was this amazing 'Jeans Effect' textured nail polish (£4.99 each) which comes in 4 gorgeous summer shades. I naturally took advantage of the manicures and had mine done with cornflower blue shade 'Azur Salopette'. The coverage is great and it dries super fast, no need for a top coat as they are a matte effect. I love the effect of these polishes and if you've got troublesome nails then this is the polish for you as the texture will disguise any problem areas, like flaking or ridges.
The next product they are launching is this 'Super Liner Perfect Slim' (£6.99 each) which comes in 2 denim inspired shades of blue: a teal and an electric blue (which I tried below). The super slim 0.4mm sponge tip makes application easy and precise, one swoop across the lid and you're done; the result? The perfect flick! As you can see from the pic below I have a double liner look. I already had on a black liner and they simply added an additional flick above that to add the pop of colour. I really love this look and will certainly be donning this look more throughout this season. It's a great way to get a subtle pop of colour on the eyes without going crazy.
Next up is my favourite product, the 'Glam Matte' Lip Gloss (£7.99 each). I've honestly never tried anything like it! It goes on like a gloss, but when smudged with your finger it turns to velvet, it's just amazing! It can be worn as a gloss by applying a thicker layer, or by simply applying a smaller amount and dabbing with your fingertip it gives a gorgeous matte finish with a soft velvet feel, which doesn't dry out your lips. The heart shaped applicator makes it so easy to get right into those tricky areas too! The Glam Matte collection comes in 4 bold shades from neon to coral.
All of these products will be available nationwide from May.

It's Friiiiiidaaaaaay! It's been a long week but full of events and fun type thangs. I was out most of the day yesterday doing press days but I called it a day around 3:30 because I felt so I'll. I went home, got into my PJ's and sat watching The Great British Bake Off with a left over Dominos pizza surrounded by my fur babies. I'm feeling a lot better today (must have been the pizza!) and I'm off out again, which is unusual for a Friday because normally Friday's are pretty quiet. I'm off to do a shoot with Wallis so I'll you y'all posted on that. I'm giving myself weekends off from outfit posts on the blog from now on, but there will be some beauty posts over the weekend for you to peruse.

Finally the moment arrived when it was 'Cruise Time!'. Oh yehhhhhh! What happened I hear you ask? Well, I pretty much crapped myself. I haven't been on a boat in quite some time and lets just say, wearing mules wasn't the best idea. It was a really lovely event despite the sickly feeling when being on top deck and the views of my gorgeous city were just incredible, I think it made us all stop and take it all in.
Anyway not losing sight of what this grand boat trip was about, it was the preview of Coleen Rooney's new collection for Littlewoods. The beach style collection is really exactly what you'd be looking for for your summer holiday; maxi dresses, sexy swimwear and plenty of flowing kaftans. Best of all the collection has something for all shapes and sizes, although I know I'll be avoiding the 'booty-bearing shorts' (See below) but hey, I'm sure the youth of today will really appreciate those. Check out my images below and let me know what you think :)
